The subjects available to
Woodlawn High School students are listed on the following pages together with the credit per course. Student participation determines which courses will be offered during the school year. A brief description of each subject is given on the reference page. All students must schedule seven (7) classes. Remember, your aim is to achieve sufficient credits for graduation and prepare yourself for college or vocational training.

CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT PROGRAM/LSU
A Concurrent-Enrollment Program allows well qualified high school seniors to register in one or more courses at LSU. Requirements for participation in the program are senior classification, a grade-point average of at least 3.0, an ACT composite score of 27, recommendation of the high school principal and certification that the student has completed the high school's most advanced course in the subject area in which the student wishes to enroll (or that in the principal's judgment, the student is qualified), and the recommendation of the head of the appropriate department of the university. Concurrent enrollment will be permitted only when space, faculty, and other university facilities can accommodate these students. (LSU Concurrent Enrollment: 578-1421)
Students enrolled in the Concurrent Enrollment Program at LSU will receive college and high school credit for the course(s) taken.
DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES (BRCC)
Dual Enrollment courses offered through Baton Rouge Community College will be offered at Woodlawn High School at 6th and 7th periods. College and high school credits will be awarded for Dual Enrollment courses.

NOTE: Woodlawn High School cannot take the responsibility for the proper choice of subjects for either your graduation or college entrance. If you have any questions, check with your Guidance Counselor.
When courses are listed according to semester offerings they are shown thus:
First Semester/Second Semester (example: Nutrition & Food/Adult Responsibilities)
CHANGING SCHEDULES -
SCHEDULE CHANGES WILL ONLY BE MADE FOR STUDENTS DUPLICATING CREDIT.
STUDENTS WHO REGISTER FOR FULL YEAR COURSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE CLASSES AT MID YEAR FOR ANY REASON (OTHER THAN DUPLICATING CREDIT) INCLUDING FAILURE OF THE COURSE.
THERE WILL BE NO SCHEDULE CHANGES MADE AFTER JUNE 1st
