First-time tenth graders in 2001-2002 and thereafter will be required to score Approaching Basic or above on the English Language Arts and Mathematics tests AND Science OR Social Studies portions to be eligible for a standard high school diploma.>
Each year in March or April, the GEE is administered to the tenth and eleventh grade students. For any student who does not pass one or more designated parts of the test, remediation is provided during the school year; and the student will be given an opportunity to retake the test.
The 2009-2010 incoming 9th graders will be the last class required to take the GEE.
The 2010-2011 first time 9th graders, and thereafter, will be required to take the End of Course(EOC) test in the 9th, 10th and 11th grade. Those students will take the EOC in Algebra I, Geometry, English II, Biology, English III and American History.
