Mu Alpha Theta

Description

Mu Alpha Theta is a National Methematics Honor Society encompassing over 65,000 students in more than 1,400 schools.  The society is dedicated to inspiring a keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics. There is an annual Mu Alpha Theta National Convention and many competitions at our local schools.

A student must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 GPA in 5 semesters of college prep mathematics to join this honors math club. Students with the required GPA in 3 semesters are elibible for provisional membership. There is a membership fee for the local and national dues.


Meeting Dates

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:50 a. m. in Mr. Woods' room (E35.)
