First Lady Jindal Reads to Dufrocq Students for Read for the Record Jindal and Pearson Foundations Also Donate Whiteboards to School - October 12, 2011

“Llama Llama Red Pajama” was the book of the day October 6 at The Dufrocq School as Louisiana First Lady Supriya Jindal (pictured, standing) read to  kindergarten students using Whiteboard technology.  Her efforts were part of Jumpstart’s Read for the Record Program, which is sponsored nationally by the Pearson Foundation.

The event included free copies of the book for every child in attendance plus red llama-shaped cookies for refreshments.  In addition, The Supriya Jindal Foundation and the Pearson Foundation donated two Active Whiteboards and mobile units to the school.
