You’ve Gotta Have Art – Parent University
- July 20, 2008

Students, parents and community members joined together to dance, paint and write during the recent Baton Rouge Parent University program Exploring the Arts. Held at McKinley Middle Academic Magnet School, the event featured art teachers and presenters from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and area organizations. Besides interactive sessions like I Like the Way You Move, a dance course (first photo), there were special presentations by artists, such as Crystal Leigh Endsley (second photo, left). Endsley’s dissertation focuses on an integrative performing arts group she helped develop. In addition, informational booths were set up for such organizations as LSU College of Education’s Gear Up program, represented by Letrez Myer (second photo, right).
