The Belfair Montessori Magnet Junior Beta Club sponsored a food drive during Super Bowl week that netted about 575 food items for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. The theme was "soup o’ bowl," and classes competed against each other. The class that donated the most food items received a pizza party. The club plans to make this an annual event.
Shown during the food drive are (pictured, left to right): Yolanda Rucker, Anitra Bell-Robinson (school counselor/Beta Club sponsor), Savannah Alarcon, Jennifer Ndulaka, Jamia Schofield (in front), Chinyere Obioha, Kiara Adams and Kelvis Jack.
