EBR Schools Begin Honoring Brotherhood/Sisterhood Award Recipients - Jan 17, 08
Kenilworth Middle School honored its Brotherhood/Sisterhood Award winners during a school assembly on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Shown from L to R: Reginald Huff, Jr., Emmanual Bazille, Ciara Hampton, Styles Cosey.

It was an emotional moment for Ciara Hampton, a student at Kenilworth Middle School, when she was named the 2008 recipient of the Sisterhood Award.  Tears of joy rolled down her face as she greeted family members after the presentation.  She joined fellow Kenilworth Middle student Reginald Huff, Jr., faculty member Emmanual Bazille and staff member Styles Cozey, as they were all recognized during an assembly on Tuesday, January 15.
In January, schools begin the nominations and selections for the award. This year marks the 20th year that EBR schools will participate in the program. The Brotherhood/Sisterhood award is sponsored by Neighbors Federal Credit Union, and is designed to recognize students and adults who show a true concern for their peers regardless of race, religion or academic achievement.  Schools have until May to recognize their honorees.
