Cinderella Project Provides Girls Prom Gowns - February 13, 2009

The Cinderella Project of Baton Rouge needs your help in obtaining new or gently used prom gowns/dresses and in matching girls in need with a gown or dress to wear to her high school prom.

Going to a formal dance is romantic, so it’s only fitting that the Project has a Valentine’s Day Dress Drop-Off 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, at Iberia Bank, 3700 Essen Lane.  Dresses must be age appropriate, no more than five years old, dry cleaned and on hangers.  Velvet dresses are not accepted.  All donations are tax deductible.

If you can’t make it Saturday, don’t worry.  There are several more dress drop-off events coming up soon, including a drop-off next week at Bustle Bridal Gowns and Accessories, 7215 Highland Rd.  For more information, visit their Web site at http://cinderellaprojectbr.org/donate.aspx.

If you know of a girl in need of a dress or gown, please let them know.  Dress giveaways will be held in early March.  You can contact Shelton Jones at (225) 439-9700 or sjones@cinderellaprojectbr.org.
