School District Receives 23rd Consecutive Financial Award - April 6, 2009

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System once again has been honored by the Government Finance Officers Association. For the 23rd consecutive year, the School System has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The School System’s Finance Department helps manage the district-wide budget, which totals about $433 million in 2008-2009 expenditures.
