Candace Chatman, a Glen Oaks Park Elementary School student, placed third in a recent district-wide math contest hosted by Kenilworth Science & Technology Charter School.  More than 200 students from 50 schools across East Baton Rouge Parish attended the event, which was planned to help students prepare for the Integrated Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (iLEAP) test.  It is a test given to all fifth graders in state public schools.  The contest used multiple-choice questions to quiz students on algebraic reasoning, geometry, number patterns, measurements, data analysis and probability.
