Tara High’s JROTC Team Once Again Sweeps Drill Competition - December 20, 2010

For the second time in a row, Tara High School won the overall Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) area drill team competition, with Belaire High School and Northeast High School placing 2nd and 3rd in the overall event, which was held December 4 at Belaire High School.  Belaire hosted the drill and color guard competitions, and Woodlawn High School hosted the rifle match.

The JROTC Color Guard Competition and Rifle Match featured several area high schools’ JROTC battalion teams.  Pictured is Belaire High School Principal Robert Webb (left) awarding medals to the Tara High School Color Guard, which won first place in its category.  A detailed list of winners includes:
