EBR Talented Art Students Take Top Award in LA School Board Association Contest

Two East Baton Rouge Parish School System students took first place honors in the 2008 Louisiana School Board Association (LSBA) Artwork Contest. Aaron Smith, an eighth grade student at McKinley Middle Magnet School, was awarded first place in the 5th-8th grade division. Lindsey St.Pierre, a junior at Baton Rouge Magnet High School, won her second consecutive first place award in the 9th-12th grade division.
The students’ artwork will be on exhibit in the Shreveport Convention Center during the 2008 LSBA Convention, February 28-March 1, 2008. Their work will also remain on display in the LSBA office for one year.
