EBR Signs 56 New Teachers

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System has had a very successful fall teacher recruitment season. Staff from the Office of Human Resource recently signed 56 students from the following Colleges of Education: Louisiana State University, Southern University, Southeastern Louisiana University, and University of New Orleans. These students, graduating in December, have signed contracts with the school system and will begin teaching in January, 2007.
In addition, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System will conduct a Job Fair for certified and highly qualified teachers on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at the Instructional Resource Center (IRC).
The job fair will be held from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Interested parties may contact Teacher Recruitment Services at (225) 922-5572 or by e-mail at recruiting@ebrschools.org for more information. The IRC is located at 1022 South Foster Drive. Map to Building
