Baton Rouge Parent University Presents “Getting Ready for College” Workshop - Nov 8, 06

Baton Rouge Parent University presents “Getting Ready for College”, a community workshop for parents of middle and high school students.  The workshop and breakout sessions will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Capitol Middle School, located at 5100 Greenwell Springs Road, Baton Rouge, LA.

 

The keynote speaker is Dr. Michael Eskridge, Projects Manager for Advance Baton Rouge.  Breakout sessions include:

 

  • How to Qualify for TOPS
  • Applying for Financial Aid
  • Scholarship Opportunities
  • ACT Preparation
  • Hot Careers in Two Years
  • Am I A Match?
  • Everyone Can Go To College
  • Career Opportunities in the Consumer Sciences
