Park Elementary Holds Ribbon-Cutting for Reading Corner - September 13, 2010

Park Elementary School was awarded a grant through Capital One’s partnership with the Heart of America Foundation to redesign a reading corner in the school library.  On Thursday, September 9, the school celebrated with a ribbon-cutting for the corner that included (left to right):  student Lyndell Joseph; Colleen Noland of Heart of America; Steve Lousteau, Baton Rouge Marketing president for Capital One; Principal Jessica Brister; State Rep. Steve Carter (District 68); Assistant Superintendent Mary Dominique; retired teacher Marion King; School Board member W.T. Winfield; and student Ashley O'Conner.
