Pre-K Rally Kicks Off Registration

The parents came to register their children for school. The kids came for the ice cream. Any way you look at it, the Pre-K Registration Rally on Saturday, July 26, at Eden Park Elementary School was a win-win situation. Sponsors included Family Road of Greater Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Safety Council, HIPPY, Families Helping Families and Early Childhood Supports and Services. The event was just a kick-off, however, for ongoing pre-kindergarten registration in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. Registration continues week days in the schools for the 2008-2009 school year, which begins August 7. For more information, call Patience Travasos, preschool resource coordinator, at (225)355-6197.
