Five EBR Students Awarded College Sponsored Merit Scholarships - Jul 19, 07

Five Baton Rouge High School students were named among 2,300 students nationwide as additional winners of Merit Scholarship awards financed by colleges and universities.  This week, National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that these students join over 2,200 other college sponsored award recipients who were announced in May.

Sponsor colleges selected their winners from among Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program who will attend their institution.  College-sponsored awards provide between $500 and $2,000 a year for up to four years of undergraduate study.

The award winners from EBR are:

Emily Holden Louisana State University
Vinay Juneja University of Alabama
Erin Mann Arizona State University
Shiloh Meyers Louisiana State University
Laura St. Pierre University of Maine
