South Blvd. Elementary Chosen for LINCS Conference - 08/23/2004

South BoulevardSouth Boulevard Elementary School is one of only ten school statewide chosen by the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) and the Louisiana Systemic Initiatives Program (LaSIP) as a school to highlight at the first annual statewide LINCS (Learning-Intensive Networking Communities for Success) conference in September 29-30, 2004, in Baton Rouge. 

The following criteria were used to select the schools to be highlighted at the conference: 

  • The school has participated in LINCS since 2001.
  • The school exhibited improved performance on the ITBS and/ LEAP 21 in its content area(s) between 2001-2003.  (Improvements in School Performance Score were also considered.)
  • The school rated 75% or higher on the LINCS Implementation Rubric as scored by a LINCS Regional Coordinator.

The qualifying schools were reviewed by staff members from the Louisiana Department of Education and LaSIP to ensure statewide representation.
