St. Nick Of Volunteer BR Brings Students Toys, Books And More - December 20, 2008

It was a ho, ho, happy day for pre-K-3 Crestworth Elementary School students today.  When they arrived at their classrooms this morning, the students discovered a backpack filled with toys and books courtesy of Volunteer Baton Rouge.

St. Nick visited the children later in the morning at this school and several other elementary schools, including:  Capitol, Dalton, Delmont, Howell Park, Melrose, Polk, Ryan, Winbourne.
 
On Saint Nicholas Eve, Thursday, December 18, volunteers arrived at the schools to decorate and place backpacks filled with toys, Crayons and activity books on each pre-K-3 student’s desk.  Then today, Saint Nicholas Day (Discovery Day), students discovered their surprises.  In addition, volunteers read “The Legend of Saint Nicholas.”
