Two Buses Needed For First Stuff The Bus
- July 17, 2008

The first-ever Stuff the Bus with School Supplies drive, sponsored by WBRZ Channel 2, was such a success two school buses were required to collect all the donated supplies. Community members from across the Parish turned out to donate supplies for the students of East Baton Rouge Parish School System – everything from pencils, pens and notebooks to paper, glue and backpacks. The buses were parked in front of Office Depot on College Drive Thursday, July 17. Volunteers, including those from Volunteers in Public Schools, students – such as the National Honor Society members pictured from Baton Rouge Magnet High School, teachers, principals, business leaders and those from co-sponsors Office Depot and Raising Cane's, worked the day-long event.
