Teacher of the Year Finalists Announced - 08/20/2004

The finalists for the 2004-2005 East Baton Rouge Teacher of the Year Awards were announced and recognized during a luncheon on Tuesday, August 3rd at the Country Club of Louisiana.

Finalists for High School Teacher of the Year are (L-R) Lena Burrows of Istrouma, Myra Fontenot, Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Services--Area 3, Betty Selmon of Belaire, and Laree Taylor of Northdale Academy.

Winners will be announced at a reception hosted by Volunteers in Public Schools on Thursday, August 26th, at 4:30pm.  The reception will be held in the Baton Rouge Magnet High School auditorium, 2825 Government Street.  The reception is sponsored by Neighbors Federal Credit Union.
