East Baton Rouge Parish School System Employees to Receive Pay Increase - July 2, 2007

During a special meeting of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board held on June 28, 2007, School Superintendent Charlotte D. Placide recommended, and School Board members approved, to raise the salary of each certificated employee an additional $1,200.

The increase approved by the School Board will be in addition to the amount passed by the state legislature in house bill 1, which would allow all certificated East Baton Rouge Parish School System staff to receive a pay increase of $2,375.

The total increase for certificated staff from both increases should total $3,575.  Support staff would also receive an additional $50.00 per month, in addition to the $1,000 increase which was passed by members of the state legislation.
