‘Team Impact’ Urges Winbourne Elementary Students to Make Good Choices - Feb 20, 08
Winbourne Elementary students listen as members of Team Impact talk about making good decisions.

They flex their muscles with a message.  A group of men showed their physical strength and shared a few words of wisdom with students at Winbourne Elementary School.  Fourth and fifth grade boys watched in amazement as members of Team Impact bent steel poles, ripped phone books, broke baseball bats on their legs and crushed full cans of soda.  While the antics left the young boys in awe, it’s also meant to get their attention for the message of making good choices while they are young.

Team Impact travels around the country showing off their skills and encouraging students not to follow the crowd or be influenced by peer pressure.  The group was in Baton Rouge this month sharing their message with students in the area.  The organization from Texas holds over 700 assemblies a year in schools across the country.  The group includes former professional and collegiate athletes.
