Westminster Elementary Supporters Walk for Technology Dollars - March 24, 2010

Projectors, Elmos, Smartboards, Study Islands and computer programs.  Westminster Elementary School staff, students and parents are closer to obtaining many educational technology tools like these following a Wildcat Walk-A-Thon for Technology Saturday, March 20.

Participants, like third graders Riley Jordan (left) and Desire Gardner (right) who walked around the school, raised $2,138.99 to help purchase technology for classrooms.  Trailing behind them were guidance counselor Joan Jones and Speech teacher Kristi Washington.  Others walking for the cause represented such groups as the LSU HOPE volunteers, the school’s DARE officer and the Blood Bank.

Afterwards, the school held a mini festival featuring games, concessions and fun for the whole family.
