| Winbourne Students Run Drills During Saints Training Camp

Students were throwing footballs, running through obstacle courses and attacking a dummy dressed in a Falcons jersey during a New Orleans Saints / Gatorade Junior Training Camp held Friday, November 13, at Winbourne Elementary School. By answering a sports trivia question, fourth grader Kalvin Elphage (left) won a game jersey worn by Saints player Hollis Thomas. The catch? He had to “wrestle” it off Michael Lewis (right), a Saints team ambassador and retired wide receiver and returner.
Representatives from the Junior Training Camp spoke to children about goal setting, education, drugs and other topics. The goal of the traveling camp is to get more children to play football and influence them to be better people in the “game” of life. For more information, log on to www.neworleanssaints.com.
